Sorry for the cliched title. I’m writing this in a hurry.
And I don’t even have a topic. In the past few weeks, I’ve gotten my topics on Monday, but this week Monday came and went without any recurring conversation to turn into text. Instead, Monday brought a 777-point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. BIGGEST DROP EVER. Of course, the media meant biggest in drop in terms of points, not percentage. They wanted a headline.
So last night, I was watching Charlie Rose when he announced that his guest for the next evening (tonight) would be Warren Buffet.
I’m watching him now, and while everyone else on TV, recently, has been blowing the trumpets of doom, Warren is actually seeing opportunity in this market. I feel better already.
I’ve just realized two things.
- Last night, I got really excited knowing that billionaire investor Warren Buffet would be Charlie’s guest. This was a moment to recognize that I’m truly an adult. My heroes are an investor and a public television interviewer. Add them to Jason Lezak.
- Warren said,
You want to be greedy when others are fearful.
